Press Conference

Prominent clergy sex abuse attorneys Jeff Anderson and Mike Finnegan will disclose and discuss documents that show a top Vatican official taking virtually no action against a fugitive predator priest.  Father Joseph Jeyapaul, who has been criminally charged with molesting young girls, is facing extradition to Roseau County, Minnesota and facing a civil lawsuit.  In spite of all this, he apparently has been promoted to oversee dozens of parochial schools in the Diocese of Ootacamund in India.

Documents and once-secret church records concerning this case and correspondence between a Minnesota bishop and the Vatican after Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger had become Pope Benedict XVI will be available at the press conference and from www.AndersonAdvocates.com .

To protect children from the risk of harm Anderson and Finnegan will demand Catholic authorities ? in the US, Rome and India ? suspend Father Jeyapaul immediately and do everything possible to get him returned to the US to face prosecution.

According to a diocesan website, Jeyapaul is currently assigned to the Diocese of Ootacaumund which lists his current address and phone number as:
