The truth is that survivors are being held hostage by clergy criminals+ their heirarchy of cover-up leadership. The states justice system sleeps as parents clamour for witness+protection for 45+ years. We were fighting criminals on st johns abbey campus long long before the Spotlight team for the Boston Globe rang a bell for public awareness or "concern". Don't tell me we didn't speak out, approach the proper officials ETC. We did it all+ we still are being JACKED around by clergy heirarchy + state officials.. Why? Because predominately the children "groomed" by clergy pedophiles were selected with calculated premeditations..we are not children of the white collar elite, the priveledged. We are children of primarily working class+ we all know the law only serves the elite. Full disclosures of monetary transferes to state officials via the archdio of St.Paul will certainly reveal the payoffs made to colluded participants to continue the hush of violations of our civil+humane rights.

My family was born +raised in Flynntown ghetto at the base of St.John's Abbey/University. Our father went up against the three Abbot's before Klassen with firm witness against Fr.Richard Eckroth+ co. of sadist priest pedophiles. Jennifer Hasselberg, my Father was the whistlerblower on campus+ thru the state of Mn. from 1970-FORWARD TO HIS DEATH. The problem is that every official he repeatedly reported to in the state+ in the archdiocese for proper witness+protection of his family+children TURNED AWAY. Turned away, subordinated, dismissed, and /OR intimidated w/ threats. Choking on a lifetime of "leadership" lies+ crime. My father faced off w/ Eisenschienk, McDonough, Klassen, all the sadist worms on campus for 45 years+ because the state is delinquent in demanding Full disclosure of all record SEIZURE, our parents die at the hands + +practices SERIAL organized pedophile criminal priests. None have been full truth allies, we are alone.

I think it's hilarious that the Archdiocese got b---h-slapped by a blonde, and from a women's college at that.

Jennifer Haselberger is doing more to expose the truth to get this abuse stopped than even the MN St Paul law enforcement. She is to be commended for her courage in speaking up and taking action against corrupt church officials. Thanks goes to Jennifer for working to protect innocent kids from being sexually abused. Victims and children need brave whistleblowers who are willing to expose the church officials who cover up sex crimes against kids, not only in Minnesota but other dioceses too.
Sadly the sex abuse and cover up within the church throughout the world is still going on to this day. Cardinals and bishops are still not removing accused predator clergy, and they are still not reporting to law enforcement. Their so called "zero tolerance" policy is not being followed by the bishops who created it. They don't have to because there is no punishment to force the bishops to change their ways. Until many of these bishops are demoted, disciplined, and held accountable for their cri

I just want to say very simply that I am so moved by this affidavit and by the love that Jennifer Haselberger has for securing the rights of the victims of sexual misconduct. She is a incredibly courageous and noble young woman and I pray that one day she is given the responsibility of overseeing the justice system within your faith. I would have given anything for a Jennifer. I have felt so alone and had to pay somebody to become my advocate. I, like Jennifer, hope that through my struggle for justice in my faith, Judiasm, that one day I will walk to the other side of the darkness that exists in all faiths and that my story will inspire others to fight for their dignity and the dignity of those that came before them.

Faithful Catholics pray for all evil to be unveiled to the daylight of truth and believe evil reveals itself over time. Such things exist in every part of life and other faith denominations that are less constrained by order and regulations no doubt have similar abuses that never are publicized. The Catholic Church can take the cleansing and will be stronger for it being done. In every aspect of life and faith, there is evil. To not discover the evil is proof that evil exists. To discover it, is proof evil will not win out in the end.

A coverup just as evil has been carefully structured at St. John's Abbey in Collegeville for many years. Abbot John Klassen's recent denial of abuse on the part of Fr. Timothy Backous is just another part of the continuing scandal. So many monks kept out of court by Abbot John and previous abbots with endless checks to the victim, and there are over 200 of them, many of them students at St. John's Prep School.
This monastery should be investigated by the Vatican and shuttered.

Notwithstanding the empty commitment by the Bishops to transparency and accountability, it is abundantly clear to all the only thing transparent about the Bishops is their obsession with secrecy! The so-called “princes of the church still employ “mental reservation”, lying in layman's terms, to insulate themselves and their “church” from SCANDAL!
The *oaths of secrecy taken by RC priests, bishops and cardinals, required under RC Canon law that relegate these sordid matters to internal church affairs implemented with a view to avoiding scandal to the “church”, are still in force and bear a striking resemblance to the Omerta Code that another infamous organization subscribes to?
This anti-Christian and ignominious policy of Cover Up will insure they will continue to endure the collective censure of Catholic and non-Catholic alike reserved for those who commit and cover up the abominable sin/crime of child abuse!

The more things change . . the more they stay the same!
The cover-up mentality is woven into the warp and woof of Roman Catholicism and remains the corporate policy within the unhallowed halls of her organization! An inbred fierce and unquestioned institutional loyalty, coupled with a culture obsessed with secrecy will insure that the Roman Catholic MOTHER of all COVER UPS will continue unabated.
This CASE powerfully demonstrates that! This is what passes for transparency amongst the RC “hierarchy”! Ms. Haselberger has distinguished herself as a woman of uncommon courage, whose principled stand and vigilance is to be commended, but instead has evoked the collective disdain of the Bishops, who vainly imagine they are above the law!.
The spectacle of breathtaking and unprecedented cover up continues to be the modus operandi of choice by the powers that be in Roman Catholicism, in what many perceive to be more agreeable to a criminal enterprise rather than a religious institutio
