Ordained May 30, 1953 in the Diocese of Winona, Father Leland J. Smith worked at numerous parishes throughout southern Minnesota during his 40+ year career as a priest. Father Smith’s name was released by the Diocese of Winona on December 16, 2013 as part of a court-ordered public disclosure of names of priests with credible allegations of child sexual abuse.

June 23, 1983 – Saint Joseph, Rushford, MN and Saint Mary, Houston, MN
