Jack Krough: Accused of Child Sexual Abuse

On October 7, 2014 the priest file of Father Jack Krough was released to the public. Along with Krough’s file, the files of thirteen other priests with credible allegations of sexual abuse in the Diocese of Winona were also released. The files were obtained as part of the Doe 1 v. Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis and the Diocese of Winona civil lawsuit filed in Ramsey County in May 2013. The lawsuit was made possible due to the Child Victims Act passed by the Minnesota legislature.

Father Jack Krough was ordained on May 21, 1976, in the Diocese of Winona. Krough’s name was released publicly on December 16, 2013 as part of a public disclosure of a list of priests with credible allegations of child sexual abuse who worked in the Diocese of Winona.

Father Krough worked mainly in parishes and schools in southeastern Minnesota and taught Religion and Photography.

  • 1996 – 1998: Saint Edward, Austin, MN and Our Lady of Loretto, Brownsdale, MN
  • 1998 – 2002: Saint Francis of Assisi at Assisi Heights, Rochester, MN
  • 2002: Ministerial Status: Ministerial privileges suspended indefinitely
  • 2014: Deceased
