After sexually abusing young boys throughout his career as a priest, Fr. Lenczycki was removed from ministry in 2002. Fr. Lenczycki was convicted of sexually abusing three boys in 2004 and sentenced to five years in prison. At a civil trial in 2008, experts testified that Fr. Lenczycki sexually abused at least twenty-four in three states during his time as a priest. Several civil lawsuits have been filed against Fr. Lenczycki since. Fr. Lenczycki is listed on the Illinois Sex Offender Registry. He lived in Wheaton, IL after he was removed from the priesthood.
