Ruben Rodriguez
Fr. Ruben Rodriguez was a Carmelite priest who worked in the Archdiocese of New York. In 2000, Fr. Rodriguez was named in a lawsuit brought by a survivor of child sexual abuse. Fr. Rodriguez was the pastor at St. Simon Stock in the Bronx, New York, when he allegedly sexually abused the survivor. The Carmelite Friars sent him to undergo a psychiatric evaluation following the allegation. The lawsuit settled in 2001.
Fr. Ruben Rodriguez was the pastor at St. Simon Stock in Bronx, New York, from 1992 to 1998. He returned to Puerto Rico and is believed to be working at a parish in San Juan, Puerto Rico, since July 1999.
