In October 2003, Fr. Richard M. Lewkiewicz, Parochial Vicar, of the Diocese of Brooklyn was named in a lawsuit brought by survivors of child sexual abuse. Fr. In approximately November 2004 the Diocese of Brooklyn deemed the allegations against Fr. Lewkiewicz not credible. The Diocesan Review Board recommended Fr. Lewkiewicz remain in ministry.
