Although a survivor first accused Fr. Edward N. Leroux of child sexual abuse in 1992, Fr. Leroux remained an active priest in the Diocese of Albany until his removal in 2002. In 2005, three survivors received settlements from the Diocese of Albany after they came forward and accused Fr. Leroux of sexually abusing them in the late 1970s and 1980s. Fr. Leroux has been named on the Diocese of Albany’s lists of “Clergy Credibly Accused While Serving in the Diocese of Albany.” Fr. Leroux’s status as a priest, current whereabouts, and whether he has access to children are unknown
