Msgr. William M. Slavin worked in the Diocese of Albany for nearly fifty years. In December 2004, a former altar boy filed a lawsuit against the Archdiocese of Boston, alleging he had been sexually abused by Msgr. Slavin. The lawsuit claimed that Msgr. Slavin sexually abused the plaintiff for five years between 1959 and 1964. The lawsuit was dismissed due to the statute of limitations. Fr. Slavin is listed on the Diocese of Albany’s lists of “Clergy Credibly Accused While Serving in the Diocese of Albany.”
