Diocese of Oakland Bishop Allen Vigneron publicly apologized to St. Catherine of Sienna Parish in Martinez for the sexual misconduct of Fr. Cabral on October 5, 2004. Fr. Kenneth Cabral is listed as a retired priest in the Official Catholic Directories for the years 1991 to 2000, but he is believed to have died in 1996.
