Msgr. Alfred Hernandez spent his career working at various juvenile detention facilities, hospitals, and churches. Msgr. Hernandez was named in a 2014 civil lawsuit where he was accused of repeated child sexual abuse of a six-year-old boy in 1993, while he worked at St. Ignatius in Los Angeles, California. It was reported that Msgr. Hernandez spent the last years of his life living and occasionally ministering at Hollenbeck Palms, a convalescent home, in Boyle Heights, California. Msgr. Hernandez’s whereabouts and whether he had access to children from 1996 until his death are unknown.
