According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, at least three survivors have come forward alleging child sexual abuse by Fr. Thomas R. Marshall, C.S.P., a member of the Paulist Fathers Order, between approximately 1960 and 1963, while he worked at St. Paul the Apostle in Los Angeles. In 2003, child sexual abuse charges were filed against Fr. Marshall and an arrest warrant was issued. The district attorney attempted to extradite Fr. Marshall who was retired and living in Toronto. He has been named in at least one civil lawsuit. Per the 2009 Paulist website, Fr. Marshall was in residence at the Paulist Centre for Catholic Evangelization in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Fr. Marshall was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. In 2015, it is believed Fr. Marshall was still residing in Toronto. Fr. Marshall’s current status as a priest, his whereabouts, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
