Religious Seminarian Candidate Amado Pena, Sch.P.

Amado Pena was a seminarian candidate for the Piarist religious order who left before being ordained. In 2003, he was criminally charged with molesting two 14-year-old boys between 1980 and 1982. In 2003, Pena was arrested in Massachusetts on an outstanding warrant for molesting a 12-year-old boy in 1987. Pena was named in a civil lawsuit that alleged that he sexually abused two minors from approximately 1980 to 1981 at Santa Teresita Catholic Church in Los Angeles. Pena was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of clergy accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. Pena is believed to have died in approximately 2006.
