Fr. Charles Brown was ordained a priest in the Archdiocese of Denver. Fr. Brown was accused of sexually abusing a boy for a period of 5 years in the 1960s beginning when the boy was a minor teenager. The first incident of abuse occurred when Fr. Brown took the boy on a ski trip. The abuse was reported to the Archdiocese who allegedly did not notify law enforcement for another 7 years. Fr. Brown was publicly named in Colorado Attorney General’s Special Master’s Report on “Roman Catholic Clergy Sexual Abuse of Children in Colorado from 1950 to 2019.” Fr. Brown is reported to presently reside in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Fr. Brown’s status as a priest and his access to children are unknown.
