Fr. Robert J. Chlopecki has been accused multiple times of sexual acts with young boys in the 1980s. Fr. Chlopecki has been accused of being part of a sex ring involving Fr. Calhoun and others. In 2018, Fr. Chlopecki was included on the Diocese of Belleville’s list of “Clergy who are Currently Removed from Ministry after Credibly Substantiated Allegations of Sexual Abuse of Minors, or Serious Sexual Misconduct with Adults.” Fr. Chlopecki was believed to be residing in Marissa, IL as of 2003. Fr. Chlopecki’s current whereabouts, status as a priest, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
