Father Jeremiah Duggan worked for nearly 25 years at St. Bede the Venerable, in Chicago, Illinois, one of the largest Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago. In 2004, Fr. Duggan was named in a claim against the Archdiocese of Chicago. The claimant alleged that Fr. Duggan had sexually abused the claimant at Queen of Martyrs in Evergreen Park in the 1970s and 1980s. The Archdiocese settled the claim in 2005. At that time, the Archdiocese stated that the settlement meant that the allegation against Fr. Duggan was deemed credible.
