Anthony Ocloo: Accused of Sexual Misconduct

In October 2005, Fr. Anthony Ocloo, a visiting priest from Ghana working in the Diocese of Brooklyn, was arrested on child sexual abuse charges. Fr. Ocloo lived and worked at St. Ephrem’s in Dyker Heights, New York where he allegedly sexually abused the survivor. The Diocese of Brooklyn immediately placed Fr. Ocloo on leave and ordered him to leave St. Ephrem’s.

Fr. Anthony Ocloo was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Keta-Akatsi, Africa on July 18, 1992. In 2005, he came to the United States and was assigned to work for the Diocese of Brooklyn. He worked at St. Ephrem’s in Dyker Heights, New York, and was enrolled in a MBA program at St. John’s University.
