Fr. Denis Ginty was ordained in Ireland in 1927, spent part of a year in England, and arrived in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in 1928. He has been named in at least three civil lawsuits, including one in 2003 that alleged childhood sexual abuse in 1932. Fr. Ginty has been accused by at least four people of child sexual abuse. The locations of alleged abuse include Transfiguration Church in Los Angeles and Nativity Church in El Monte. Fr. Ginty was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors.
