At least two survivors have come forward alleging child sexual abuse by Msgr. George M. Scott, between approximately 1947 and 1958, while he worked at Mary Star of the Sea in San Pedro. He was named in a 2003 child sexual abuse lawsuit. Claims against him were included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ 2007 settlement. Msgr. Scott was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors.
