Notes: Fr. Silva was a Christian Brother for 17 years before being ordained a priest in 1997. It is believed Fr. Silva worked at Damien Memorial High School as a Christian Brother and worked at O’Dea High School in Seattle from 1991 to 1994. Fr. Silva was placed on leave in 2005 and arrested and charged in 2006 with sexual abuse of a 14-year-old boy in 2005 during a trip to France and Portugal. A civil suit related to the sexual abuse was filed in 2006. Fr. Silva pleaded guilty to criminal charges in 2006 and was sentenced to 5 years in prison and 5 years’ probation. Fr. Silva’s name was included on the Archdiocese of Seattle’s 2016 list of clergy and religious with admitted, established or credible allegations of child sexual abuse. He was included in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe’s list of accused 2017. He is believed to be living in Albuquerque, NM. It is unknown whether he has access to children.
