John E. Mahoney: Accused of Sexual Misconduct

In April 2003, Fr. John E. Mahoney, Capuchin Franciscan, was named in child sexual abuse lawsuit. Fr. Mahoney allegedly sexually abused an 11 year old boy from St. Barnabas the Apostle in Bellmore, New York, while on a trip to West Point in approximately 1967.

Fr. John E. Mahoney was ordained a Capuchin Franciscan priest on November 28, 1964 and worked at the following locations:

2002-2004: St. Lawrence Friary, Beacon, NY (Business Manager)

Fr. John E. Mahoney died on December 15, 2004.
