Keith Fennessy: Archdiocesan Clergy Credibly Accused of Sexual Abuse of a Minor

Keith Fennessy

In June 2015, Fr. Keith Fennessy was placed on a leave of absence by the Archdiocese of New York after child pornography was discovered on his computer. The Archdiocese of New York review board investigated and recommended Fr. Fennessy’s removal from ministry. Law enforcement also conducted an investigation and the case was handed over to the District Attorney’s office.

According to the Archdiocese, Fr. Fennessy was living in a supervised setting as of April 2016. At that time, the Archdiocese of New York had not petitioned the Vatican for Fr. Fennessy’s laicization.
