Notes: In 2011, a sexual abuse survivor filed suit in Hawaii naming Fr. Maurice McNeely and the Diocese of Bismarck as defendants. The survivor alleged Fr. McNelly sexually abused him when he was an altar boy in 1976 and Fr. McNelly was chaplain at Ft. Shafter Military Base. The lawsuit alleged Fr. McNeely forced the boy to perform oral sex on him. In another claim, a woman came forward and alleged Fr. McNeely abused her late husband in North Dakota in the 1960s.
