Fr. Richard Ohlemacher was ordained a priest of the Crosier Fathers and Brothers. He taught at Our Lady of the Lake Seminary in Wawasee, Indiana, for 16 years and at the Crosier Seminary in Onamia, Minnesota, for three years before moving to Phoenix, Arizona, in approximately 1987. Fr. Ohlemacher retired in 1992, but reportedly continued to help out at churches in the Phoenix area following his retirement. In October 2002, Fr. Ohlemacher was one of eight priests removed from public ministry by the Crosiers for alleged sexual misconduct. However, he is believed to have continued to live at a Crosier House under restrictions. Fr. Ohlemacher is listed on the Diocese of Phoenix’s “Names of priests of religious communities who have served in the Diocese of Phoenix and have been laicized and/or removed from ministry by their communities due to sexual misconduct with a minor.”
