Sr. Mary Joseph Killeen: Accused of Sexual Misconduct

Sr. Mary Joseph Killeen

Sr. Mary Joseph Killeen was a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph Carondelet. She professed her final vows in 1929 and proceeded to work in Idaho, Arizona, Washington, and California. Reportedly, in 1961 she taught at Our Lady of the Valley in Canoga Park, California. Sr. Killeen was a named in a civil lawsuit where she was accused of child sexual abuse while working in Los Angeles. Sr. Killeen’s whereabouts and whether she had access to children until her death in 1971 are unknown.
