Fr. Vincent Van ter Toolen was a Dutch Carmelite priest who worked in the United States from approximately 1963 to 1971. He has been accused of sexually abusing at least one child from 1962 to 1964 and has been named in one civil lawsuit. Fr. Van ter Toolen was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. Fr. Van ter Toolen is believed to have died in the 1990s. His status as a priest, whereabouts, and whether he had access to children from 1971 until his death in the 1990s are unknown.
