Fr. Dorino De Lazzer was ordained a priest for the Pious Society of the Missionaries of St. Charles. In 1973, Fr. De Lazzer came to the Archdiocese of Denver and served as a priest within the Archdiocese for approximately 33 years. In 2010, the Archbishop of Denver, Charles Chaput, received a credible allegation against Fr. De Lazzer for past sexual misconduct with a minor that reportedly occurred in the early 1970s. The reported sexual abuse occurred before his faculties in Denver, Colorado. Archbishop Chaput reportedly withdrew Fr. De Lazzer from ministry and placed him on administrative leave in 2010. Fr. De Lazzer’s current status as a priest, his whereabouts, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
