Fr. John V. Holloway: Substantiated Claims of Sexual Abuse of a Minor

Fr. John V. Holloway

Ordained, Unknown

Notes: Fr. John Holloway worked in the Archdiocese of Denver from 1962 until his death. Fr. Holloway was included in the Colorado Attorney General’s Special Master’s Report on “Roman Catholic Clergy Sexual Abuse of Children in Colorado from 1950 to 2019.” The Special Master’s Report states that Fr. Holloway’s “grooming and child sexual abuse stands out as the most calculated, horrific, and predatory we saw in our entire review.” Fr. Holloway allegedly sexually abused six minor boys between approximately 1962 and 1982 while he worked in the State of Colorado. The Report also states that “[w]hen the most recent Holloway child sex abuse allegation was reported in 2017, the Denver Archdiocese assured the Vatican that the allegation was not substantiated, after making no effort to investigate it.” Fr. Holloway’s whereabouts and whether he had access to children from 1978 until his death are unknown.
