Fr. Lucas Galvan was a priest of the Theatine Fathers. In 1989, Fr. Galvan was convicted of sexually abusing a minor in Colorado. The Diocese of Pueblo settled a civil lawsuit brought by the survivor and Fr. Galvan was transferred to the Servants of the Paraclete, an institution known for treating clerics accused of sexually abusing minors. It is reported that through the international Theatine Fathers, Fr. Galvan was able to move to Argentina before finding sanctuary in Mexico City. Fr. Galvan is reported to have worked as a priest in Mexico until 2010, when he was removed from priestly duty in Mexico City. Fr. Galvan’s status as a priest, current whereabouts, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
