Fr. Rafael Jairo Calle
Notes: Fr. Rafael Jairo Calle was an extern priest from Ecuador. Fr. Calle was named in the Colorado Attorney General’s Special Master’s Report on “Roman Catholic Clergy Sexual Abuse of Children in Colorado from 1950 to 2019.” According to the Special Master’s Report, Fr. Calle arrived in the Archdiocese of Denver in 1997 and was temporarily assigned to St. Stephen Parish in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. That same year, the Archdiocese received a report that Fr. Calle sexually abused a minor boy at St. Stephen’s. Fr. Calle was reportedly confronted with the allegations by the Archdiocese and fled the state. Fr. Calle’s current status as a priest, his whereabouts, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
