Fr. William Gleeson was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Pueblo. In 1969, he allegedly sexually abused a minor boy. The incident was purportedly reported to the Diocese of Pueblo in 1993, who allegedly did not report the allegation to law enforcement until 2019. Prior to Fr. Gleeson’s death in 2018, no restrictions were placed on his priestly faculties or his access to children. He is included in the Colorado Attorney General’s Special Master’s Report on “Roman Catholic Clergy Sexual Abuse of Children in Colorado from 1950 to 2019.”
