Fr. John F. Connolly was a former principal at Cardinal McCloskey High School in Albany. In 2002 and 2003 two
survivors reported allegations of child sexual abuse by Fr. Connolly to the Diocese of Albany. One survivor alleged the abuse
took place in the mid-1970s while Fr. Connolly worked at Cardinal McCloskey High School. The other survivor alleged he was
sexually abused by Fr. Connolly at a cabin when Fr. Connolly was principal at St. Peter’s Academy in Saratoga Springs in
the early 1970s. Fr. Connolly was included on the Diocese of Albany’s lists of “Clergy Credibly Accused While Serving in the
Diocese of Albany.” It is believed that Fr. Connolly was removed from ministry in 2003. Fr. Connolly’s current whereabouts, his
status as a priest, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
