Fr. George W. Klein was principal of St. Benedict High School in Chicago for 17 years, and the district director of non-public schools of Illinois for the North Central Accrediting Association of Catholic Secondary Schools for the Archdiocese of Chicago. According to the Archdiocese, Fr. Klein retired in 2010. In 2011, Fr. Klein was accused of sexually abusing a girl in the 1970s while he was principal of St. Benedict High School. In 2012, he was restricted from saying mass but remained in active ministry. Fr. Klein was believed to be living in Northbrook as of 2017, however, his whereabouts and whether he has access to children are unknown.
