Msgr. Lawrence St. Peter was ordained a priest in the Archdiocese of Denver. In 2008, Msgr. St. Peter was one of three priests accused of sexually abusing minor children between 1954 and 1981. Msgr. St. Peter was included in the Colorado Attorney General’s Special Master’s Report on “Roman Catholic Clergy Sexual Abuse of Children in Colorado from 1950 to 2019.” According to the Special Master’s Report, Msgr. St. Peter is alleged to have sexually abused at least three minor boys between 1963 and 1980 during his time at St. John the Evangelist and Holy Family in Denver, Colorado. One of the boys reported his abuse to the Archdiocese of Denver in 1975. In 1993, Msgr. St. Peter was reportedly sent to St. Luke Institute, an institution known for treating priests accused of child sexual abuse. Msgr. St. Peter’s status as a priest, his whereabouts, and whether he had access to children from 1993 until his death in 2003 are unknown.
