After working for over six decades in the Diocese of Springfield, Fr. Francis O’Hara died in 2006. In 2008, two women filed a civil lawsuit alleging the Fr. O’Hara sexually abused them at St. Kevin’s Catholic Church in Rosewood Heights, Illinois from 1971 to 1978. In 2018, Fr. O’Hara was included on the Diocese of Springfield’s list of clergy with substantiated cases of sexual abuse of a minor.
