Sister Eileen Shaw was a member of the religious order Sisters of Charity. Shaw worked in various locations within the Diocese of Patterson including, Visitation Academy in Paramus, NJ and at St. Cecilia elementary school in Kearney, NJ. In 1994, a woman accused Sr. Shaw came forward to accuse Sr. Shaw of sexually abusing her beginning when she was 15-years old at Paramus Catholic Girls High School. The abuse occurred from approximately 1968 until 1992. Once the allegations of child sexual abuse surfaced, Sr. Shaw was removed from her position as principal at Visitation. As of 2019, it was reported that Sr. Shaw is still a nun but has restricted access to outside ministry. Sr. Shaw’s whereabouts and whether she has access to children are unknown.
