Sr. Judith R. Fisher, C.S.J.: Accused of Sexual Misconduct

Sr. Judith R. Fisher, C.S.J.

Notes: Sr. Judith Fisher was a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, a religious order based in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. In 1971, Sr. Fisher taught at the Immacolata School in Richmond Heights, Missouri, where she allegedly sexually abused an underage girl for several years. Sr. Fisher was transferred to Colorado in approximately 1977, where she became the principal of St. Francis de Sales School in Denver. According to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Sr. Fisher left the Order in 1979. In 2003, the survivor filed a lawsuit against the Archdiocese of St. Louis, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, and Sr. Fisher. Sr. Fisher is believed to have died in 1979.
