Fr. William J. Heim was a former priest working as a school guidance counselor at School 14 in Troy, New York. He was arrested in March 2002, for sexually abusing children. He was charged with two second-degree felony counts of repeated sexual contact with a child and criminal possession of child pornography. In May 2002, Fr. Heim pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography. In July 2002, Fr. Heim pleaded guilty to having sexual contact with a boy. In August 2002, Fr. Heim was sentenced to two years in state prison. It is believed that in May 2004, Fr. Heim was released from prison on parole. Fr. Heim’s current whereabouts and whether he has access to children are unknown.
