Doug Herring, Attorney

Doug Herring graduated cum laude with his Juris Doctorate from Fordham Law. At Fordham, Doug was a member of the Fordham Law Review and part of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition team. He also worked with Fordham’s Consumer Litigation Clinic, where he gained experience representing consumers who had been victims of identity theft, sued for debts they did not owe, or had judgments issued against them in procedurally defective debt collection actions.
Since graduating, Doug has had the privilege of advocating on behalf of trauma survivors for over five years in cases filed under the New York Child Victims Act. When working with survivors, he leads with empathy and ensures his communication with each survivor is thoughtful, intentional, and rooted in empowering the survivor. Doug is always looking for opportunities to collaborate with others and understands how fostering the unique talents and perspective of each team member can lead to better results. His reliability and relentless drive for the mission of supporting survivors makes him an invaluable member of the team.
In his free time, Doug enjoys stand-up comedy, board games, and volunteers as a coach and judge for high school Speech and Debate tournaments.
