Survivor to Speak Publicly for the First Time

(Los Angeles, CA) – At a press conference today in Los Angeles, a sexual abuse survivor and the law firm of Jeff Anderson & Associates will:

  • Discuss a lawsuit filed against the Protestant Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles for allowing Rev. Paul Kowalewski to remain in ministry despite a history of sexually abusing a child while a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo;
  • Introduce a survivor of Rev. Kowalewski who will speak publicly for the first time about her sexual assault by Rev. Kowalewski;
  • Demand the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles remove Rev. Kowalewski from ministry at the Church of St. Paul in the Desert in Palm Springs, California;
  • Demand that the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo and the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles disclose and publicly release all documents and files regarding Rev. Kowalewski and allegations of sexual abuse against him.

  • Alert church officials and parishioners of Rev. Kowalewski’s sexually abusive history;
  • Deliver documents detailing Rev. Kowalewski’s assignment history and whereabouts.
