The Truth Has Been Told: Children’s Theatre Company Failed to Protect Kids
(Saint Paul, MN) – At a news conference today in St. Paul, Laura Stearns, survivors of sexual abuse at Children’s Theatre, and their attorneys and advocates will:
- Announce a $3.68 million verdict in Hennepin County District Court, against Jason McLean for the sexual assault of Laura Stearns – jury found Children’s Theatre negligent, but did not find that their negligence caused the abuse;
- Discuss how the Children’s Theatre Company was negligent and failed to exercise reasonable care in protecting kids at the theatre;
- Reveal the long-hidden truth that has been buried by Children’s Theatre for over three decades;
- Discuss the significance of this verdict and why Laura Stearns brought this case.
