Protocols Outline 17 Requirements to Ensure Transparency and Child Protection
With Adoption of These Protocols Diocese of Winona Has Adopted Best Practices for Child Protection
(St. Paul, MN) – At a news conference today in St. Paul, attorney Jeff Anderson will discuss the settlement of the Doe 1 v. Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Diocese of Winona and Thomas Adamson civil lawsuit.
As part of this historic settlement, 17 child protection protocols have been implemented by the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis and the Diocese of Winona. A copy of the protocols will be available at the press conference and on our website later today.
“This is a new day and a new way for the protection of children, healing of survivors and full transparency and disclosure in a way we’ve never seen,” Attorney Jeff Anderson said of the new child protection protocols. “These historic measures are invested in by Doe 1, many other courageous survivors and the Diocese.”
