(Saint Paul, MN) – We praise the courage of Doe 597, a survivor and talented artist, who is the victim of sexual assault and harassment by Uri Sands, one of the founders and artistic directors of TU Dance Company. Doe 597 stood up and brought a lawsuit, demanding that TU Dance take action to protect the safety of other artists. Doe 597’s suit led to TU Dance conducting an investigation and Sands’ removal. Oct 10, 2019: Holy See to be Served With Clergy Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Against Vatican on Friday—All Roads Leading to Rome

(St. Paul, MN) – A lawsuit by five clergy sexual abuse survivors against the Vatican is scheduled to be served upon the Holy See on Friday. Attorneys for the five survivors believe the Holy See will likely attempt to refuse service of the lawsuit based on past practices but say the Plaintiffs will not be deterred. “We know from the past that the Holy See will put up barriers and hurdles to try and prevent the survivors from pursuing justice and accountability with the Vatican,” said attorney Jeff Anderson of Jeff Anderson & Associates, who represents the five Plaintiffs.
