At a press conference on Tuesday in St. Paul, clergy abuse attorney Jeff Anderson will announce the settlement of a lawsuit with the Diocese of Crookston involving the sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl by a priest on loan from India.  The priest, Reverend Joseph Jeyapaul, who was also charged criminally by Roseau County authorities, is now a fugitive from justice and working in the active ministry in India.  The victim, now 21, will disclose her identity at the news conference and release a disturbing petition showing her perpetrator around children in India where he is now in charge of 40 schools.

Clergy Abuse Attorney Jeff Anderson says documents point to Vatican’s direct control over the conduct, placement, and removal of individual priests for sexual abuse.  

At
a news conference Tuesday in St. Paul, attorneys for a New York man will
announce a new Lawsuit against St. John’s Abbey and the Order of St. Benedict
based in Collegeville, Minnesota.  Also
appearing at the news conference will be a two former Benedictine monks associated
with St. John’s Abbey.

At
a news conference Thursday in Kansas City, prominent clergy abuse attorneys
will announce a lawsuit against the Diocese of Kansas City-St Joseph, Bishop
Robert Finn and Father Shawn Ratigan on behalf of a child who is a victim of
child pornography by Fr. Ratigan.  The
lawsuit alleges that the Diocese and Bishop Robert Finn violated federal and
state child pornography and child abuse laws when they concealed evidence that
Fr. Ratigan was creating child pornography by photographing and being sexually
inappropriate with young parish girls.
