California Accused Priests

The list below contains the names of and supporting information about clergy who were assigned within or working in the Archdioceses and Dioceses in California who have been accused of sexual misconduct. While lawsuits were filed involving many of these alleged perpetrators, the vast majority of the claims against these individuals have been settled or have not been fully evaluated in a civil or criminal court. Accordingly, the allegations should be considered just allegations and should not be considered proved or substantiated in a court of law.

We Don’t Just Handle Clients, We Empower Survivors

As sexual abuse lawyers, we have represented thousands of victims of childhood sexual abuse in cases against individual offenders and the institutions that harbor them. We are engaged with a national network of attorneys who share our mission, and when we take a case, we exhaust every imaginable resource in order to serve our clients’ needs.

Everyone at Jeff Anderson & Associates is honored to stand with and fight for our clients one-on-one, and provide them the attention, counsel, and care each survivor of child sexual abuse deserves. It is more than our jobs, it is our cause, and we work tirelessly to advance the child protection movement and help every survivor find justice, healing, and reclaim some of the power taken from them as kids.

The California Child Victims Act

On September 14, 2019, the California Child Victims Act was signed into law. The Act reformed the statute of limitation and opened a window for previously time-barred survivors of child sexual abuse to seek accountability and compensation in civil courts for the pain and suffering they’ve carried for decades. The California Child Victims Act window closes on December 31, 2022.
